With the return of favourable weather we have seen combines rolling again after weeks of unsettled conditions, delaying the completion of harvest.
Hopes are now pinned on a good run of fine weather to complete the harvest, with spring barley the focus of most. The gap between barley and wheat has narrowed within the UK.
Overall production confidence for US soybeans has been increasing with the aid of the much needed rainfall seen across previously drought impacted regions.
Brazilian Soybean production reached new records in 2021 and are forecast to increase by a further 7MT to 144MT in 2022.
The market remains very volatile and will remain this way until the completion of harvest to establish what crops we actually have.
